If your Apple Mac PowerBook G3 is having start up problems try the following tips to get it up and running again.
The battery may need recharging. Plug the power cord into a working outlet and then plug the power adapter into the computer. Let the battery recharge for a few minutes.
Check that the power cord is plugged into a working outlet. If it's plugged into a power strip, make sure the power strip is turned on. The power adapter should get warm after being plugged in for 10 minutes. If it is cold, make sure the adapter is securely plugged in and attached to the power cord.
The screen brightness may be turned down. Adjust the brightness control located above the top row of keys on the keyboard, to the right of center. Make sure the battery is properly seated in its compartment.
If none of these measures helps, you may need to reset the computer. The method of resetting you should always try first is to press the Command, Control, and Power keys simultaneously. If the computer does not start up, connect the power adapter (if it is not already connected) and press the reset button on the back panel.
If the reset described in the previous paragraph does not start up the computer, remove the battery and unplug the power adapter and hold in the reset button for 30 seconds. Then reconnect the power adapter and put in the battery and try starting up again.
